Two miles of secluded beach and calming wildlife await you at Lovers Key State Park. Lovers Key is located on Black Island, one of four barrier islands that make up the state park. It was once accessible only by boat, and the remote beach attracted lovers looking for a romantic getaway—hence the name, Lovers Key.

Today, you can take the boardwalk or the tram for a day's adventure viewing bottlenose dolphins, roseate spoonbills, marsh rabbits, bald eagles and West Indian manatees.

The barrier island is also the perfect place for relaxing on the beach, enjoying water activities and hiking the island trails. And events unique to the island like our Junior Ranger Adventure, Sea Turtle Talk, and fishing clinics are fun for the whole family.

Visit Lovers Key State Park and immerse yourself in nature without sacrificing the modern amenities for a comfortable journey.
