February 13, 2014

It will be especially romantic on Valentine’s Day during its fifth annual Vow Renewal Ceremony where dozens of couples will say “I do” again on the beach. Last-minute renewals welcome by calling Judy Greenwood at 708-359-0466 or fjgreenwood@gmail.com for more information.

Lovers Key has also received special national recognition for romance!   The Society of American Travel Writers named Lovers Key one of the top 10 Valentine’s Day travel sites in the U.S. and Canada. It has also been named among the “Top 10 Romantic Retreats” by Coastal Living magazine.  The Travel Channel’s and USA TODAY have named Lovers Key as one of “Florida’s Top 10 Beaches.”

Lover’s Key:   “Another of the Gulf Coast’s barrier islands, for years Lover’s Key was only accessible by boat. Today, it’s one-fourth of a state park, home to a resort and an enduring haven for couples in pursuit of blissful isolation.”   USA TODAY

Lovers Key is located between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Beach and for a long time was only accessible by boat.  Legend has it that lovers traveled to the island so they could enjoy its secluded beach.
Come explore the island and discover the beautiful sandy beaches–and say “I do” where love is always in the air!
